Codes are not available for purchase. They are shared by people who have already had their portrait made. Each collector receives a small number of codes to pass on to people they feel belong here. A second route is the waitlist: codes are released in small batches whenever a spot opens up, on no fixed schedule, and they go out at random rather than in the order people joined. We also drop codes publicly on Instagram, where they tend to be claimed within hours, so it is worth doing both: join the waitlist and follow us on Instagram. Waiting longer does not move you up, and there is no guarantee of timing.

It depends on the artist. Once an artist is inspired by your profile and you give the go-ahead, expect 2 to 4 weeks for the work to be completed.

A deposit is required when you commission the artist: it confirms the work and reserves their time. The balance is due when the piece is complete and ready to ship. Should the work arrive and truly disappoint, a full refund is available. We stand behind every piece.

No. The surprise is part of the experience. You will see the work for the first time when it is complete, and only if you choose to.

Completely. Artists receive only your test profile: no name, no contact information, nothing that could identify you. Your answers are never linked to your identity.

Abstract. The work reflects your inner world (your energy, your aesthetic sensibility, your emotional register), not your face or your likeness. It is a soul portrait, not a physical one.

It does happen, and it has nothing to do with who you are. We keep your profile active and will reach out if an artist connects with it later. There is no deadline.

You are never obligated. When an artist reaches out, we introduce them and share their portfolio. If you don't feel a connection, simply decline: no explanation needed.

It depends on the artist and the scale of the work. Our roster spans celebrated artists whose pieces are held in major collections as well as exceptional emerging talents earlier in their careers, so there is a meaningful commission to be found whether you have collected for years or this is the first real piece of art you will call your own. After the test, you tell us the scale of piece you have in mind and we match you with an artist accordingly, so there are no surprises. Every commission, at any level, is an original work created for you alone.

Every work is carefully packaged and shipped insured, worldwide. Delivery times vary by destination once the piece is complete. If a work is damaged in transit, we will arrange a full replacement or refund, no questions asked.
